Disaster Management Centre - The Natural Disaster Management Unit of ATI set up in the year 1995 & funded by the Government of India
conducts regular training programmes, seminars and workshops on natural disaster management, environment and ecology for officials, NGOs and elected
representatives of local government bodies.
Urban Management Centre - The Centre, set up in collaboration with HUDCO in the year 2000, undertakes training and capacity building in urban
management, urban development and related areas. Programmes are conducted for elected representatives and administrative, financial and technical
personnel of municipal bodies. Preparation of case studies and documentation of best practices are part of the Centre’s activities. In addition, the Centre
also implements various programmes under the Kolkata Urban Services for the Poor and the National Institute of Urban Affairs
Regional Training Centres - In a significant step towards taking training closer to the work-place, the Institute is conducting training programmes
through Regional Training Centres located in the districts. Thirteen RTCs have been set up so far.
Computer Centre - The Institute has three computer laboratories with the capacity to train 60 trainees at a time. All the terminals of these laboratories
are linked to high speed broadband internet and intranet connections through a common server which also caters to the needs of the faculty members and
staff round the clock
Conference/ class rooms - The Institute has two well-equipped conference halls, one with a capacity of 50 and a smaller one that can accommodate
20 persons and 9 class rooms/ syndicate rooms. All these are air-conditioned and have modern audio visual facilities.
Hostel and Guest House - The Institute hostel can accommodate 100 trainees with two persons sharing a bath room. Another four storied hostel with
100 independent rooms and yoga centre cum indoor badminton court are nearing completion. The Institute has a guest house for visiting faculty and
guests.
Library - The Institute library has over 17000 books and subscribes to over 40 journals. The catalogue is fully computerized.
Blog - ATI has a blog linked to its website with restricted access. The blog serves as a discussion forum and facilitates continuous learning through
sharing of experience and best practices in administration.
Publications - ATI has brought out several publications and monographs relating to training and governance
