Development of Distance / e-Learning Modules
This project funded by the Government of India aims at developing and implementing three Distance/ e-Learning modules on West Bengal Service Rule,
West Bengal Financial Rule & Office Procedures.
Training for All: Intensive Training Programme
This project funded by Government of India aims at saturation training in identified sectors for improvement of public service delivery. The Institute is implementing
this project in Nadia district covering officials of five departments - Agriculture, Backward Classes Welfare, Women and Child Development and Social Welfare,
Horticulture and animal Resources Development.
Another Training for All project has been taken up for Excise Directorate covering the entire staff from state level to all districts.
Capacity Building for Poverty Reduction (CBPR) Training Initiative
The basic objective of this project sponsored by DFID and Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India is to develop, test and formalize an intensive
district training model covering two identified sectors of public service delivery for the frontline personnel. The project is being implemented in the districts of Burdwan
and North 24 Parganas for Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Department.
Training of Trainers Manual on Convergence
The Institute was assigned the task of developing a trainers’ training manual on convergence by UN Resident Coordinator’s office,
India. The manual will be used for training development officials in seven identified states in India- Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand,
Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The manual was launched in a pilot training programme held in the institute
from 15 to 19 March 2010.
Refinement of Experiential Learning Tools (ELT) Package
Being requested by Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, the Institute has taken up the task of refining the ELT package used for trainers’
training in India. In accordance with the recommendations of the panel constituted for the purpose, the package has been revised by a team of Recognized Trainers.
Training of Trainers Manual on Human Development
On behalf of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Planning Commission, the Institute developed a trainers’ training manual on human development.
The manual is in two parts and has been circulated by the Planning Commission of India to all states for use. It is available on Planning Commission website

Reinforcing on job training in government departments
As part of its continuing programme for providing capacity building support to government departments, the Institute implemented a project for on job training in
Panchayat and Rural Development Department. This involved identification of training needs, developing trainers within the department and giving hand holding
support to impart on job training for all the staff at the secretariat. A similar project is currently being implemented in Agriculture Department.
